Geno's Youth Center

ABOUT US...

Kids Club of Harney County has grown to the bursting point and our facility is no longer large enough to provide needed programming for the youth in Harney County.

Our dream of a new facility is coming to fruition, Phase I Geno's Gym was completed in October 2020.  This has provided a much needed gym space for our community, hosting tournaments, camps, practice space and allowing new programming like Pickleball and Toddler Tumbling.  Ground was broken on April 26, 2023 for Phase II, this will complete the facility!  When completed, additional classroom space, offices, a conference room and a commercial kitchen will provide the needed space to serve our youth and add additional programming, allowing us to continue to grow and accommodate the urgent need for youth services in our county. This new space will not only benefit Kids Club of Harney County, but it will also be a resource for the entire community – from creating jobs to the many options of activities & events it can host.

Our vision for Geno’s Youth Center…

Here are just a few of the ways that we envision our new, larger facility positively impacting the youth & economic community of Harney County:

• The new gymnasium will allow sports teams an additional place to practice and facility to hold larger tournaments.

• Adding physical activity opportunities for all ages from gymnastics to pickleball.

• Much needed programming for our middle school aged youth.

• Commercial kitchen for events and used for concessions during sporting events.

•  Collaboration with other youth serving organizations to share space and resources to strengthen our community.

Together we succeed!!  Geno's Youth Center will increase the number of kids utilizing our programs and being provided with healthy meals, homework help, nutrition education, and an increase in activity levels.  This helps us achieve our long-term goals of lowering youth obesity rates, increasing graduation rates, and giving the youth in our county somewhere that they’re proud to call their own.
